All Trust Home Care is proud to have Daniel Kuhn, LCSW, author of The Art of Dementia Care and Alzheimer’s Early Stages: First Steps for Family, Friends and Caregivers, in the position of Vice President of Education. Dan leads the All Trust Academy, which offers high quality education and helpful resources for caregivers, professionals and families.
For more than 40 years, Dan, who previously worked with the Alzheimer’s Association and The Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center, has served as an educator and advocate in the fields of health and aging with a focus on dementia care, end-of-life care and family caregiving. He is the author or co-author of over 50 professional publications including journal articles, book chapters, educational videos, web-based programs and training manuals, and has given hundreds of presentations to professionals and family caregivers. He has also initiated and led grant projects aimed at improving the care of people with advanced dementia living in the Chicago area through education, training, consultation and evaluation.
In 2015, Dan received the ¨Lifetime Achievement Award¨ from the Illinois Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, and in 2009, earned the “Mental Health and Aging Award” from the American Society on Aging. In 2014 he received the ¨Advocacy Award¨ from the Illinois Association for Music Therapy. He earned his Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois in Chicago and is a licensed clinical social worker.

Dan leads our All Trust Academy and offers our Advanced Care Expert Training to our Caregivers, which in a 32 Hour Advanced Dementia program. There are eight sessions which are four hours in length per session. Dan developed this program to offer our Caregivers an opportunity for an elevated level of education and skills in providing dementia care.
Since joining All Trust in 2014, Dan has trained over 12,000 people through his Continuing Education programs. His audience includes, Nurses, Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors, Nursing Home Administrators, Physical Therapists and family caregivers as well.
